Shopify Account Executive

Remote - San Francisco, CA

We are looking to add an accomplished Account Executive to our team, to directly create and drive new opportunities with key prospects within the Shopify Ecosystem. You will partner with Solutions Architects to engage with customer developers and business leaders in a consultative selling approach, helping to shape a new and quickly growing category that delivers high-velocity visual building to large-scale digital businesses.

As a Shopify Account Executive at, you will...

  • Open, advance, negotiate, close, and successfully transition opportunities with Enterprise level customer opportunities specifically within the Shopify Ecosystem ($20,000 - $500,000 ACV) to consistently exceed a $1million quota
  • Speak the language of developers, designers, site owners, and business leaders to serve as a trusted advisor and intelligently lead the full team to success
  • Meet quarterly and annual sales goals by developing an account and pipeline strategy, managing internal and client processes, maintaining sales reports, developing marketing and competitor knowledge, personally delivering demonstrations and presentations for customers, and creating sales proposals
  • Work closely with Solution Architects to uncover technical challenges and opportunities
  • As an early stage hire, bring creativity and a spirit of experimentation to all that you do.  We have a working playbook (growing 10+% MoM), and we want you to partner with us to iterate and make it even better

You will thrive in this role if you have…

  • 5+ years B2B SaaS Sales experience, a minimum of 3 years in a closing role
  • 3+ years of experience successfully selling complex technical software to Shopify based customers to teams including developers as key stakeholders
  • History of running complex, multi-department sales initiatives with large organizations
  • Experience selling CMS or related technology, or knowledge of the site building ecosystem, is a great plus.
  • Ability and desire to learn the Builder visual editor product, and build great relationships with highly technical customers
  • Previous experience working in a startup and/or fast-paced organization
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • College degree (BA/BS)
  • Able to travel up to 25%
